With EC-19521(10-Digits_Keypad) The Driver Identification Keypad is used for driver ID input withing the scope of the driver authentication feature for the tracking unit. This method is more flexible that the iButton key option as the driver no longer need to carry the iButton key and it prevernts the problems caused by the loss of iButton Keys.
The user enters a Driver ID of up to 14 digits and then presses the start (*) Key. The keypad transfers the Driver ID to the tracking unit, via the iButton interface. The tracking unit activates the driver aunthentication process, sends a driver ID message to the control center and / or deactivates the vehicle immobiliser according to the feature's program parameters.

  • Shift Management - The keypad facilitates seamless shift changes and handovers. Drivers can log in and log out quickly, providing accurate records of when each driver starts and ends their shift.
  • Driver Accountability - Each driver is assigned a unique identification code or PIN. The keypad ensures that only authorized drivers can access and operate specific vehicles in the fleet. This helps in tracking who is responsible for a particular vehicle at any given time, promoting accountability among drivers.
  • Vehicle Access Control - The keypad restricts unauthorized access to fleet vehicles. Only drivers with the correct identification code can start the vehicle, preventing theft or unauthorized use.
